Who we are

The Court Masters Volleyball program is a not-for-profit organization that provides young female athletes an opportunity to participate in competitive volleyball in the off-season. To learn more about the organization review the “About Us” section of the Web site, or contact one of the officers.


Our purpose

The Court Masters Web site is a communication vehicle for conveying information about the organization to its members and other interested parties. Information about the organization, found on the Web site, includes by-laws, events (like tryout information), club award recipients, links to volleyball resources, and more. Additionally, the Web site contains information on its membership available for public viewing. Such information includes rosters, team schedules, and player and coaches profiles. All profiles are maintained by the individual player or coach.

Disclosure

Court Masters does not verify the accuracy of personal information contained on any player’s or coach’s profile. Members, through their login privileges are able to add, update, or delete any information within their profile. Court Masters does not require any player to maintain a profile on the site. Should a player or coach choose not to have information about him or her displayed on the Court Masters Web site, they should not create their profile.


Only player members of sophomore status or older are given profile access. Once graduated from the Court Masters Volleyball program, players that continue their volleyball career into college may maintain an alumni profile. Profiles of players, who leave Court Masters prior to finishing high school, will be removed from the database and the member account deleted. Alumni profiles that are maintained by former Court Master’s players will be deleted once the alumnus has finished competing in college.


Court Masters does not display phone numbers, addresses, or email addresses, of any athlete, nor will they disclose this information to any third party, unless players specifically request that a Court Masters representative (such as a coach or officer) provide such information. Court Masters will do their best to screen inquiries about athletes prior to forwarding information to a third party.


Any third party, such as a college recruiter, wishing to obtain more contact information regarding an athlete is directed to contact the club’s president or the athlete’s coach. The president and coaches will do their best to verify the authenticity of the person inquiring about an athlete prior to releasing contact information on any athlete.


Right of rectification or erasure

Athletes are able to add, edit, or delete information contained within her profile through her login privileges. Should any athlete forget her login information, she may contact her team representative or the Court Masters web master. There is also an area where the athlete can have login information (such as login name and password) emailed to her, so long as she maintains an accurate email address in the system.


Passwords maintained within the Court Masters membership area are accessible to team representatives and officers. It is strongly encouraged that members do not use passwords on the Court Master’s membership Web site that are being used in other confidential environments.


Extent of data being processed

Data collected in the Membership database is used solely for display purposes in building the pages of the Web site. For example, rosters that are seen on the Web site are produced from the data stored in the Membership database.


Court Masters will not sell or otherwise distribute the information collected in its membership database.


How cookies are used

Court Masters does not collect cookies, IP addresses, or any other identifying features of visitors. Cookies are only collected on the Membership login part of the site.


Only coaches, team representatives, officers, players of sophomore status or higher, and alumni, may have login privileges in the Member Login area. Accessing the Member Login requires that cookies are turned on. Cookies are not used for any other purpose other than assisting one in successfully logging into the site. Cookies expire when the user logs out. The following lists the information stored during a login session:


-Person’s User Name (login)
-Person’s real name as is already stored in the database (first and last)
-Person’s member ID (the primary key in the membership table)
-Person’s member type (e.g. coach, player, etc.)
-Name of team they are on/affiliated with (e.g. 18-1)
-Key from Teams table for the team they are on/affiliated with
-A flag for whether or not the user needs to change their password
-A flag indicating whether or not the user is a master admin

Copyright of all material contained on the Court Masters Volleyball Web site (including data, web pages, documents, and online graphics) is the property of Court Masters Volleyball Club, unless indicated in the article content or notified in writing to the contrary. Many pictures are the copyright of the photographer, and have been given permission only for use on the Court Masters Web site. Copying of photographs of players and coaches is prohibited.
